![]() Restart Virtual DJ Pro and scan a few songs for BPM. Just in case if this doesn't work you have a safe back up. Paste this file in a folder you will remember. This can be 6 or 7 depending on the version. Inside of there will be a file called "VirtualDJ Database v6.xml". Navigate to your My Documents/Virtual DJ folder. Something goes wrong, and the solution to fixing this problem is rather easy though. xml file due to some issue I'm unaware of. When a newer version is installed, or an older version uninstalled and later re-installed the program will not be able to use the old. xml files to save BPM's and access them quickly. The idea behind it is that the old versions of Virtual DJ Pro use their old. After fruitlessly searching for a while, I ended up going through the files and figuring out how to fix this issue. Hey this an old post but I ran across this same problem. Also, please ensure that you backup your entire music collection. NOTE: You should backup your database on a regular basis if the information contained in it is important to you. Copy the VirtualDJ Local Database file back to the root of the drive. When you copy the music back again, make sure you keep exactly the same folder layout/structure as you had before. The drive must either be natively formatted for Mac use only, or if you wish to also use it on a PC, it must be formatted FAT32. NOTE: If your external drive is PC NTFS formatted, then VIrtualDJ will not be able to write to it and save your database information. NOTE: If you use external drives, you will also need to do the above for each external drive. * Once changed, close the Get Info dialogue box to apply the changes. * Just below the Permissions box there is a button with a gear graphic on it - Click on it and choose the 'Apply to all included' items. Make sure that your user account has Read/Write permissions set. * In the bottom right corner of the Get Info dialog, click on the pad-lock icon and unlock it (You will be prompted for your user password.) * Then just above that to the left is the Permissions list. I worked for 3 straight days setting up hot_cues and ratings for hundreds of music & videos but when I went out for a gig and opened my VDJ 7.0.1, all the the markers I did where all gone. In short, after doing the below procedure, make sure your tracks are on the "final" folder you want them to be, then do the re-tagging, scan for bmp, loops, etc. But even after doing this, if I move some files to a new folder, I still lose the infos on the track transferred. how can i get them back? I have tried to go down the list and click on them so it adds them (which works but takes FOREVER) but when i close the program and then open it back up they are all gone again! wtf?!! please help me, I have a gig tonight for nye!
